Measure Your Belt. Do Not Use Your Pants Size.
This part matters.
Your pants size is not your belt size. Pants sizing is all over the place, and the number on the tag does not tell us the actual measurement around your waist, through your belt loops, with the gear you carry. Our belts are built to the size you order, so take a minute and measure it correctly.
How to Measure
- Put on the pants you normally wear with the belt.
- Run a cloth measuring tape through your belt loops exactly where the belt will sit.
- Measure snugly around your waist without pulling the tape tight.
- If you normally wear a holster, mag carrier, tool pouch or other gear on the belt, put that gear on and take a second measurement.
- Choose a size that puts you comfortably between those two measurements.
No cloth tape? Use a piece of string through the belt loops, mark it, then measure the string with a regular tape measure.
DO NOT Measure an Old Belt
Old belts stretch, holes don't necessarily represent actual circumference, and buckle styles change the measurement.
Measure yourself where the new belt will actually be worn.
Example
If you measure:
- 36" without gear
- 38" with your normal gear
you want the belt adjusted so both measurements fall comfortably within its usable adjustment range.
Don't automatically order whatever number is printed inside your jeans.
Why We Make You Do This
Because we'd rather get the size right the first time. A quick measurement takes about a minute. Making another belt because someone ordered their pants size takes considerably longer.
