Stop Stacking Bags to Get the Right Height.

The CROSSTAC® BFB is a large, planted front shooting rest built for bench shooting and sight-in work.

Its approximately 9" saddle height gets the rifle up to a more natural seated position and clears a 30-round AR magazine, while the wide pyramid base resists the tipping you get from straight-sided bags.

At roughly 13 pounds, this is the BFB to choose when you want maximum mass and stability and aren't worried about carrying it very far.

Why LockFill™?

The BFB uses our LockFill™ walnut blend because the particles settle and lock together under pressure, creating a heavy, stable base while retaining enough give to help dampen small movement and vibration.

Standard or Ultralight BFB — Which One Is Right for Me?

Choose the Standard BFB if: You want the most planted, substantial version and don't care about carrying roughly 13 pounds.

Choose the Ultralight BFB if: You want the same basic geometry and bench-support height without hauling a heavy front bag. Just remember it's LIGHT and meant to travel. Leave it alone and it may blow off your bench.

Do they do the same job? Yes. The primary difference is the fill—and therefore the weight and feel of the bag.

Why would I still choose the heavy version? Mass is useful on a bench. If portability isn't a concern, the Standard BFB gives you a very planted support that tends to stay where you put it.
