Shotgun Maintenance Block – 12 & 20 Gauge

Trying to hold a shotgun barrel securely in a vise without scratching it, crushing it or having your makeshift vise blocks fall on the floor every time you loosen the vise gets old pretty quickly.

That's why we made the CROSSTAC Shotgun Maintenance Block.

CNC machined from solid HDPE, it securely holds 12-gauge and 20-gauge shotgun barrels, including over/under barrel sets, single barrels, and both high-rib and low-rib configurations.  But simply holding the barrel wasn't enough.

The block is spring loaded, so when you open the vise to remove your barrel, the two halves open with it and stay in the vise. You're not chasing loose blocks around the workbench every time you take the barrel in and out.

We also machined two different working angles into the outside of the block.  Use the 10-degree downward position when cleaning so solvent runs toward the muzzle instead of back toward you and your workbench.  Flip the block to the 0-degree position when you want the barrel level for jobs like replacing a front bead or other maintenance work.
